Grey Larsen is a consummate musician. For over 30 years he has been performing, composing, teaching, producing, engineering and writing books on music.

The Orange Tree, a CD by Grey Larsen and André Marchand was selected as Runner-Up World Music CD of the Year by CD Review Magazine.
Grey's score to the short animated film by Timothy Lee Hittle, Canhead, was nominated for an Academy Award. Grey not only was co-composer and engineer, he also performed much of the music himself.
Grey produced the self-titled album for the Canadian group Barachois which won Best Francophone Recording in the 1996 East Coast Music Awards (these awards are the equivalent of the Grammy Awards for Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland).
A Winter's Solstice II, a compilation CD featuring various artists including Metamora (of which Grey was a member) on Windham Hill Records, went gold.
Grey holds a degree in music composition from Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
Grey's keen, discerning ear (he has perfect pitch), together with the breadth of his musical experience, make him a superbly qualified mastering engineer. As of this writing he has mastered more than 100 CDs and film scores.
