This CD contains recordings of songs #48 through #71 as they appear in the current 2005 edition of The Lotus Dickey Songbook.

This CD is the third in a set of five CDs, which together form the complete audio companion to The Lotus Dickey Songbook. The complete set of five CDs is also available for the discount price of $59.95 ($5.00 off the price of buying all five individually).

The songbook itself comes with one sampler CD. That disc contains 23 songs, chosen to give a representative sampling from the 120 songs in the book. However, to have recordings of all of the songs in the book, one must buy the set of five companion Lotus Dickey Songbook Companion CDs, or buy MP3 downloads of individual songs at the MP3 section of this site.

The songs on The Lotus Dickey Songbook Companion CD Three, all written by Lotus Dickey, are: The Handiwork of God, Go Hoe Hard Your Garden, The Man with the Hoe, Those Hills of Home, Falling Snow, Moon in the West, Just a Tool in the Hand of God, Could Such a One As I?, No Other Name, I Gotta Go, Has Heaven Gone and Left the Door Ajar?, Pair in a Paradise, I'm Gonna Carry My Burden to the Lord, David Loved Bathsheba, Beautiful City of Love, Let's Sing Now of Jesus, I'm A-Goin' On, Flee to the Savior, David Playing on His Harp, Little Jesus, Sing Ye Heavens Sing, Samson the Mighty, To God His Portion, Too, and The Chosen of the Lord.

The songs are taken almost entirely from field and home recordings of Lotus Dickey by himself, singing and playing guitar. While three of these same songs appear on the Lotus Dickey CD The Very First Time, that CD's tracks are all studio recordings, and are quite different from the renditions found on The Lotus Dickey Songbook Companion CD Three. An exception to this is the recording of Go Hoe Hard Your Garden. Only one recording exists of Lotus singing this song and it appears on both CDs.
